- Educational background
Dr. Ibrahim Melki began his journey in Tripoli-Lebanon and pursued his early education at the American University of Beirut, where he graduated with honors in psychology in 1982. Subsequently, he obtained his medical degree from the same esteemed institution in 1986.
- Training and certifications
Dr. Melki further honed his skills through rigorous training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Following his full general surgery training, he completed a comprehensive 2-year fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Additionally, he augmented his expertise with a 6-week visitorship in Cosmetic and Maxillofacial surgery with Dr. Fernando Ortiz Monasterio in Mexico City, Mexico. He is duly certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

As a distinguished professional, Dr. Melki holds fellowship status at the American College of Surgeons and is actively involved in esteemed organizations such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Lebanese Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

In 1997, Dr. Melki established the renowned “Melki Plastic Surgery” clinic, a premier destination for cosmetic surgery, in Beirut with two satellites clinics in Tripoli and Antelias. His practice extends to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE. Dr. Melki has extensive training in all aspects of non-surgical aesthetic procedures ( Botox, Fillers, radio frequency treatments ) as well as cosmetic surgery with special emphasis on breast and body surgery for which he has dedicated a special clinic: “The Breast and Body clinic”. He is one of the only three plastic surgeons in Lebanon certified to perform the MIA procedure for breast enhancement.
Dedicated to staying abreast of the latest advancements in his field, Dr. Melki regularly attends international meetings and symposia. His expertise and contributions have garnered widespread recognition, leading to appearances on prestigious television programs such as CNN, MTV, Future TV, LBC, and Heya TV. In 2010, he was selected as the host plastic surgeon on the Lebanese adaptation of the acclaimed medical show “The Doctors” (MTV station).
